Design Sprint
Training Camp

Hands-on training

Running a Design Sprint takes practice, in fact it’s taken a few attempts for us to get it right. While we have the advantage of refining our process with our customers, you probably don’t have that kind of time—you need to get shit done. This hands on, no BS training on Design Sprints for digital products will take you through each step of the 5 phase process using real world problems. You’ll interview real experts, learn fundamental design methodologies, express your ideas visually, prototype your solutions and finally test it with real customers.

Who it's for

This training course is for individuals or teams building digital products. You could be a designer, engineer, product manager, founder or researcher.

What you'll learn

The Design Sprint is a recipe card made up of Design Thinking methodologies. You’ll get hands-on, practical experience using all of these methods to help you design better products. Not to mention, ones you can apply immediately to your next product design initiative.

Here are some of the Design Thinking activities:

Journey Mapping

How Might We

Crazy 8’s

Paper Prototyping

Empathy Mapping

Lightning Demos

Dot Voting

User Interviewing

Meet the instructor

It’s none other than Dayton Pereira, founder of Signal UX and digital product designer since 1999 (when the term product designer hadn’t yet been coined).

Dayton’s run two software development consulting companies and shipped dozens of web and mobile products for brands like, TSN, PostMedia, CBC, NBC Sports, Global TV and the CHL. He’s even got a Gemini (hiding under the sink of the basement bathroom) for best cross platform product (TV + web) for CBC’s Kraft Hockeyville in 2011.

We'll be covering a ton of stuff, from empathy mapping to user testing. Here's a brief look into what the 2-day bootcamp looks like.
